Who Was Jack the Ripper? A History of Dark and Secret London
A one-man performance project by Steven Dark

Who Was Jack the Ripper? A History of Dark & Secret London 1860-1910 is a complete full-length live performance exploring the Whitechapel murders of 1888 and the darker social world of late-Victorian London.

Blending historical research, storytelling, humour and dramatic presentation, Steven Dark takes the audience through the victims, the police investigation, the suspects, the streets of Whitechapel and the enduring mystery surrounding the unidentified killer known as Jack the Ripper.

Designed as an atmospheric one-man show rather than a conventional lecture, the performance recreates something of the fear, fascination and mythology of the 'Autumn of Terror' while placing the murders within the wider world of Dark & Secret London.

Format: One-man live performance / presentation
Running time: 60-90 minutes
Presenter / Performer: Steven Dark
Status: Available as a live performance project
